Travel Group Worldwide Announces Appointment of Dan Fox as Senior Vice President

Santa Barbara, CA. – Travel Group Worldwide, founders of the highly acclaimed Luxury Meetings Summit event series, proudly announces Dan Fox as the company’s new Senior Vice President. Fox joins newly appointed Executive Vice President Jay Klanfer as the key executives who will lead Travel Group’s sales, marketing and PR efforts.

Fox comes to Travel Group Worldwide with an impressive reputation as a brand builder. From 1996 through 2006, he immersed himself in luxury hotel, resort and international destination marketing through his position as President of Resorts & Great Hotels, where he was also responsible for all facets of its renowned multimedia parent company, RGH Hospitality Marketing. Fox then moved to John Ueberroth’s internationally acclaimed Preferred Hotel Group where he served as Executive Director-Strategic Planning for five years. Fox is also a co-founder of Preferred Golf Club, a unique consumer and meeting planner-driven club in partnership with American Express. In addition, he is a co-founder of Touring & Tasting Marketing and Media, where he served for the past six years as managing partner until selling the company and accepting his new position with Travel Group.

Travel Group Worldwide Announces First Strategic Executive Hire

Santa Barbara, CA. -- Travel Group Worldwide (TGW), founders of the highly successful Luxury Meetings Summit event series, enthusiastically announces the appointment of Jay Klanfer as Executive Vice President. Klanfer’s first order of business is to guide the company’s new national group sales office, Travel Group Hotels, Resorts & Destinations through its launch.

Klanfer, whose impressive background includes nearly 20 years in hotel, resort, and destination marketing, brings a wealth of experience to Travel Group Worldwide. He began his career on Madison Avenue at Wells, Rich, and Greene Advertising where he worked on the agency’s high profile Hertz Car Rental account. In 2000, he was recruited to Santa Barbara, California to join Islands Publishing where he quickly rose to publisher for Islands Magazine and later, Destination Weddings & Honeymoons. Klanfer is also credited with launching the renowned Elite Wedding Collection destination marketing program. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President at eMarketing360, a hotel technology business based in Santa Barbara.
